Stephanie.

this year i was pretty spoilt, my boyfriend and i tend to go a little OTT on presents.
i am writing this post to share with you what i was gifted, as personally i LOVE reading these types of posts.

my favourite gift this year was probably the Harry Potter pyjamas and slippers my boyfriend got me from Peter Alexander. they are so cute and at the moment my Harry Potter obsession is at an all time high (if that’s even possible) so i was very excited when I opened this one.

along with the Harry Potter pyjamas, i also received a Harry Potter film wizardry book, a puzzle, checkers and some Pop Vinyls.

Santa (aka myself) got me the Fenty Beauty foundation, primer and foundation brush. i can confirm that it is amazing!!! (there will be a review post) aswell as some makeup brushes and a onboard antler suitcase. i am crazy i know

every year its nice to receive some sort of perfume/fragrance, this year my parents brought me the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh gift set. i am such a Marc Jacobs fragrance girl so this was a nice edition.

if you saw my Christmas Wishlist post you would be happy to know i was lucky enough to get two items from there; the vans and earrings.

i got a few keepsakes and little gifts this year, my favourite being a 'what i love about you' book from my boyfriend, it has 50 things pages of things he loves about me and it is SO CUTE. i also received two mugs and two jewellery stands (all from ASOS, all on my ASOS wishlist) so i guess people know me pretty well hahaha.

how cute are the 'santa jaws' socks!! and that sausage dog soap smell amazing (i probably will never use it lets face it, i don't want to destroy the dog he is too cute).

i hope you all had a wonderful Christmas this year! if you have done a post or video about what you got aswell this year then definitely feel free to link me as they are some of my favourite posts to read!!

DAY 12

day 12, new years resolutions. i can't believe another year is over just like that and what a year it has been. honestly this year has been mentally challenging but i am happy with what i have managed to achieve.
i managed to buy a new car (which was a goal of mine at the end of 2016), go on two amazing holidays and complete a qualification. its crazy how quickly a year can fly by.

for 2018, i have a few new years resolutions. starting with being more positive. i tend to be quite negative at times, especially when its to do with change or something out of my comfort zone. i like things to be structured and planned so when things don't go to plan or the way I've thought them out i can get pretty negative.
in 2018 i would love to just be more relaxed and open minded. all round just a little more positive. i don't really like to admit that i tend to be a negative but i think its time i start to focus on it and really try and work on it. i guess i have realised that you aren't going to get much out of life if you think about things negatively and at the end of the day you aren't going to live a full life if you don't step out of your comfort zone and try new things.

"Don't let yesterday take up too much of today." - Will Rogers

my second resolution for 2018 is to save more and spend more. save more money and spend more time experiencing things that you can't put a price tag on. 2017 has been a big year of me spending money on some things for experiences (like holidays, my car etc) and some (a lot) of materialistic goods. don't get me wrong i love shopping but it has come to a point where i don't even get adequate use of items before i am onto something new.
in 2018, i want to take the time to save and start focusing on the prospects of owing a home and the future. i want to travel and save enough to really enjoy it (PS we booked another cruise). i want to try new things and go to more concerts or to more shows and really enjoy the moment and experience.
i find that i feel my voids with shopping and if i am feeling sad or annoyed or even bored i will shop, this new year i am really going to try and find other things to make me 'happy' and fulfil me.
in 2018 i want to be more nurturing to my body and mind. i want to really focus on me and having a happy and full year. i plan on getting back into the gym (come back to me motivation) and getting back to where i am happy with my body. in saying this, i also want to learn to love myself who i am and for what i have got and not compare myself to others.
i want to expand my mind and read more books especially self help books and learn to grow my self esteem. i also want to stop searching for everyones approval and do things that i want to do. i think these days with so much of our lives online, we think its necessary to fit in and do what everyone else is doing and get the likes and share our purchases and 'fancy' moments, because of this we get the mindset that everything needs to be a certain way to 'upkeep' our online imagine. in 2018 i really i want to stop giving a f*ck about what i think people think of me and do me and focus on what is going to make me feel good internally and externally.

so in saying all this, i hope 2018 is another safe and healthy year for me, you and all our loved ones. may there be more peace and laughter in the world in 2018 and thankyou for joining me on this journey this year, i am looking forward to what the New Year brings.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

DAY 11

i felt like today deserved two posts considering that they are both pretty short posts and its Christmas eve eve!! i can't believe there is only 1 day to go and that 12 days went so quickly!!

so i thought two days out is the perfect time to share with my last minute Christmas treat 'recipe' for Reindeer biscuits. these are super easy to make and if you have kids also super fun for them to get involved with!

Reindeer Biscuits

What you will need:
- Arnott's Milk Arrowroot Biscuits (1 packet)
- Nutella Spread (or melted chocolate or anything spreadable of your choice)
- Pretzels
- Smarties or M&Ms
- anything else you want to decorate the face

What to do:
- lay biscuits flat on a tray or flat surface
- spread nutella (or chocolate) over the biscuits covering the whole surface. you can do this as thick or as thin as you like
- place a smartie as a nose
- snap pretzel in half and place as two antlers
- place in fridge or leave to harden at room temperature. i like the nutella to be a little set but if you can easily enjoy them straight away!

i hope you enjoy

Merry Christmas

DAY 11

when you think holiday makeup you tend to think golds and reds, which is also what i tend to go for and what i will be rocking this Christmas (surprise surprise)

considering its always pretty warm on Christmas day here, i want to go for a dewy, glowy look this year rather then a matte finish which is my usual go to. i am going to achieve this by using my usual Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, i know what you are thinking- how can i make that dewy. but i have been applying a moisturiser and an illuminating primer beforehand then applying the foundation with a damp beauty blender before the primer dries too much and TRUST ME i have never looked so dewy.

for my eyes this year i am going to use my trusty Too Faced Natural Matte Eyeshadow Palette and the Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Edition Creme Shadow in yellow gold. i will just do a brown smokey eye and cut the crease using my MAC paint pot in Soft Ochre then top that with the Kylie creme shadow.

does anyone else find picking a lip colour the hardest part of doing your makeup? i mean i have a colour worked out but i just need to pick which shade of red. at the moment its a toss up between Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Edition lip kit in Merry or MAC Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo. the biggest dilemma though is knowing that you will be eating and more than likely its going to just bleed everywhere (how do people eat and spend a whole day in red lipstick without it looking terrible?!)

contour and highlight will more than likely be my standard Benefit Hoola Bronzer, MAC bronzer in refined golden and MAC Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

as for brows, i will stick with my normal Anastasia beverly hills routine.
i have learnt (the hard way) that its best not to try anything new and experiment on days when you have places to be/busy days because more than likely they won't work for you.

this is probably the worst makeup post ever for you to get an idea of my makeup look for Christmas but i cant for the life of me take a nice picture of my finished face hahaha.

DAY 10

i thought i would make day 10 all about my 2017 favourites from moments to beauty products and all things in between. there have been a lot of good things to come out of 2017 and i am looking forward to what i discover in 2018.
so here we go, my favourites of 2017.

SKINCARE
Clinque Moistriser
this year clinque won my heart on the skincare front. their products have been working great for my skin especially their moisturisers which have been saviours for me this year.

BEAUTY #1
Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette
i picked up this palette in March and it was my first Taste item. i can happily and quite easily say i haven't looked back. this palette is perfect, it has the perfect amount of matte and shimmer. the formula is so pigmented and creamy and by far my favourite palette to date.

BEAUTY #2
Beauty Blender Pro black
this year was also the first year i started using a proper Beauty Blender, i use to use just a knock off version and thought they did the job until i got the real deal. the Beauty Blender Black Pro has been my go to this year. i have used the original pink and the red version but there is something a little different about the black (i could be imagining this). i can't see myself using or trying anything else for my base ever.
HAIR
OGX Keratin Oil repair
this stuff has saved my hair this year. throughout the year i have gradually been going from dark brown to blonde and without this oil repair i think my hair would literally be dead. i use it when my hair is wet and just spray it all over then brush it through, i don't blow dry my hair so then i plait it and spray some more over the plaits. i swear by this stuff, i actually think its helped my hair continue to grow and stay healthy.

FASHION
Topshop Mom Jeans
in june i went through a mom jean phase and i brought a few pairs but majority of those haven't seen the outside of my wardrobe in a while. expect for these Topshop ones, after waiting weeks for them to arrive from the UK they were a perfect fit!!! i literally would wear them 24/7 if i could. please don't go out of style in 2018 mom jeans!

MOMENT
Getting Koko
one of my favourite moments from 2017, would most definitely have to be when we got a new dog. Koko is a German Shepard and we got her when she was 9 months old. she is such a sooky baby and so playful and cheeky. she really is loved by everyone and i can't imagine life without her now. LOVE HER

PLACE
Mystery Island Vanuatu
my favourite place this year would have to be Mystery Island in Vanuatu which was one of the stops on our cruise. no one lives on the island and it is literally paradise. i have never been somewhere so beautiful. the water was so blue and clear, i cant get over how amazing the snorkelling was. its small enough that you can walk around the whole island but it has an airport and landing strip that no one uses (so weird). honestly i wish i could go the island multiple times a year, its amazing!!

THING
this blog
definitely one of my favourite 'things' this year has been starting this blog. i had wanted to start a blog for years and i am so glad i bit the bullet and finally did it. i am excited to see what becomes of it next year.

MOVIE
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
there were a few good movies that came out in 2017 but one of my favourites was definitely Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. i mean how cute is Groot!!!!! love him! its just a funny well made movie and Chris Pratt is great in it. i can't wait for number 3

SOCIAL MEDIA GURU
Zoella
to be honest i grew out of a lot of social media 'guru's' this year but one i never get sick of is Zoella, she has probably been my favourite every year for the last 6 years now though lets face it. i love her because she is just so real and natural. she just goes about her normal life and takes us along. i honestly feel like we would be besties though not going to lie.

Merry Christmas

DAY 9

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
i would have to say Christmas with the Kranks. suchhhhh a good movie and so funny! + you can't go wrong with Tim Allen in a Christmas movie

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
i wish!!! more like a hot melting Christmas. one day i will spend the whole of December somewhere cold and have a white Christmas!

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
running between families house, there is always somewhere to be on Christmas and in my case its normally 5 different places.

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home) by Micheal Buble. Of course! this is my ultimate Christmas jam followed closely by All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
noooo never! i want to start doing little Christmas Eve packs though with like Christmas pyjamas, chocolates and movies (maybe next year)

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Rudolph, Prancer, Dasher, Dancer, Vixon... Comet, Cupid, Blitzen. not going to lie, i had to google the last 3 oops.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
this year i am looking forward to another huge feast at Nonnas house for lunch then spending time with the rest of my family in the evening. i actually want to start a new tradition this year, where we all play board games in the evening with a Christmas film on.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
fake. its pretty impossible and really not common in Australia to have a real tree. this is just another reason why i need to go somewhere cold for Christmas.

9. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
anything chocolate really or i LOVE Christmas ham. honestly i countdown the days until i can start eating it. as for sweet treats i can't say no to a good box of Celebrations or Cadbury Favourites.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
i actually like giving gifts better. i really love buying gifts for people and tend to go a little overboard but i think its really fun. so for some people, like my boyfriend he tends to get reallllly spoilt every year.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
oooo that is a hard one. i am really not sure, maybe my bike last year!

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
somewhere in the UK or even Edinburgh in Scotland. From what i have seen in peoples vlogs, both places look amazing during the holiday season.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
i am somewhere in-between. not terrible but i am no pro either.

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?
this is another tough one, i think every holiday season is special and they have memorable moments so i am not sure. maybe this year will be the most memorable.

15. When did you realise the truth about Santa?
what. do. you. mean.?
um i am not really sure, i think it just became evident.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
this year i have and there will be a blog post on them in the next few days (how is that for promo). this year (well next year) i am really hoping to stick to them as they are more internal things rather then dieting, exercising etc.

17. What makes the holidays special for you?
all the joy that Christmas brings, i think Christmas is truely the most wonderful time of year. as i am getting older and can buy gifts for everyone, i love seeing everyone enjoy their gifts, its such a nice feeling. also being able to spend time with your family all together.

Merry Christmas

DAY 8

i can confirm Christmas attire in Australia is no where near as fun 'outfit' wise then it is in the UK and USA. seeing as its generally hot over Christmas, we definitely don't get the opportunity to wear Christmas jumpers and cosy pyjamas.
i literally struggled hard to find christmas pyjamas this year that were suitable for summer *UGH*

i have been trying to restrain myself from shopping for clothes and things for myself over the past month (considering how quickly my bank account is draining itself from all the present buying) but i have managed to pick up a few items that are quite versatile for the holidays i think.

Cotton On Body Match Back Short Sleeve Pyjama T-shirt
in grey marle/ ho ho ho
i mean how cute is this top!!! after finally finding it inshore it was sold out in my size *que eyeroll* but its okay because two weeks later i found it online in my size, hallelujah!!
cotton on body have super cute stuff and its always super cute, i managed to get this top with two pairs of shorts for $35 AUD. its normally $24.95 just for the top- mega win

Cotton On Body Match Back Frill Short
in bbh reindeer
i think these beat the top on the cuteness scale! the little reindeer print is too die for, i mean and they are SUPER COMFY. i got these in the 3 for $35 deal with the same style of shorts in a peachy pink colour.

TOPSHOP Merci Graphic T-shirt from the ICONIC
i mean i didn't need this in the slightest but i was having Topshop withdrawals and The Iconic finally started selling it (if you didn't know, we have Topshop here but they closed them all down and my life was over).
i don't know about you but the whole 'mercy' slogan shirt is everywhere ATM, so i thought this was a little different and chances are no many people would have it. but lets just face it, it was love at first sight.

TOPSHOP Oui Non Stripe Tee from the ICONIC
i flipping love this tee!! and it was only $29.95 AUD.
i just love everything about it, there isn't much more to say.
it has a really nice fit and its a little tight with longer sleeves that are also arm hugging.

TOPSHOP Casual Camisole Top from the ICONIC
i bought this with the intention of wearing it on Christmas but we shall see.
i usually don't go for this kind of top but i thought i would give it a go and its actually quite flattering. it was also not to bad price wise i think all 3 tops were roughly $29.95 each.
my only downside to this top is that i thought it had adjustable straps but it doesn't they just make it look like it does which is a little annoying but hopefully its not an issue.

Billabong Dem Bones Demin Skirt From Surf Dive & Ski
in black
i bought this skirt for 2 reasons; 1. because i have the blue version and its the most comfiest skirt ever 2. because i thought it would go really well with the blue top on Christmas (I'm tragic i know)

so basically that is all i have acquired so far this month clothes wise which i am actually very excited about and these items should make for a few good outfits over the holiday period.

Merry Christmas

DAY 7

Last Christmas
Day 7 is a short one and we are just over half way so i thought i would share a little about my Christmas last year.

Every year Christmas is pretty crazy in my household and last year was no different (probably more crazy tbh). it felt like i had to be 100 places at once, which i did.

generally, we do the whole one side of the fam for lunch and the other for dinner but last year i had to try and juggle doing the boyfriends family too.

the day went a little like this; wake up, presents, breakfast, church, boyfriends house to exchange presents, auntys house for lunch, boyfriends house for post lunch festivities (he was having Christmas at his), nonnas house for dinner, then his nannas house for post dinner festivities. I MEAN!
did i also mention it was probably close to 40 degrees that day so i was dyiiiiiing.

it all may be a little crazy but its fun and this years Christmas wont be any different *eyeroll*

i have put some photos from the day, so you can have a little sneak peak into my Australian Christmas.

bae brought me a bike!!!
and this gorgeous ring
KK Christmas tree
it was a hot one!
my sister and my cousin
when your KK comes through (the brushes and palette are fake, but the brushes are actually amazing)
i can confirm it was a struggle to get this in the car!

Merry Christmas

DAY 6

day 6, my Christmas wishlist featuring some of the things i would die to receive but i know i am not going to because they are a little crazy and other things that are completely reasonable.
i always find it hard to tell people what i want for Christmas because im sooooo indecisive but i also hate surprises so i feel sorry for everyone who has to buy gifts for me *especially my boyfriend

so here we go

Chloe Drew Shoulder Bag
Black Small Grain Lambskin
i mean obviously not going to happen but a girl can dream. love this bag in every colour, i literally want every colour if i could but ill start with black.

Tony Bianco Bailey Boot
its not even winter and i need these boots!!! so simple yet so effective

Missoma Lucy Williams Tiny Horn Necklace
i have been seeing a few people wearing Missoma jewellery and the range is soooo nice. this little beauty made it onto my wishlist and please santa!!!

Vans Old Skool Unisex Sneakers with Logo
you can't go wrong with a pair of vans and i figured a white pair is a necessity so these bad boys have made my wishlist this year. i think they look way cooler then your average white pair with the logo on the side and a little more unique.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Kiss
can never go wrong with a Marc Jacobs fragrance or perfume at Christmas for that matter!

Peter Alexander Harry Potter Pyjamas
1. i love harry potter 2. i love pyjamas 3. the perfect combo
Sportsgirl Sliver Gyspy Hooped Earrings
sportsgirl have really nice cheap jewellery and their statement earring range this year is too die for!! hopefully ill end up with these in my stocking!!

a sneak peak into my wishlist, lets face it though i dont really know what i want and i dont really need anything. whats on your wishlist this year?

Merry Christmas

DAY 5

*sorry about the lightening, it was 38 degrees and i had a small window of time + SUN drove me insane

so seeing as its the 17th of December we are a little late on the November favourites front but to be fair it has taken me a month to get back into the swing of things after my holiday.
speaking of my holiday, i took these products on holiday with me and tried and tested them for the first time and obviously i was impressed by them all.

ESTEE LAUDER
The Illuminator Radiant Perfecting Primer
this primer is my new holy grail. before this i was using a MECCA smoothing primer and thought that did the job, but i was wrong. this primer is AMAZING especially under my Estee double wear foundation. does anyone else notice that when you use the same branded foundation and primer magic happens? using this primer under my foundation makes it so dewy and radiant, i literally have never had so many compliments on how dewy my foundation looks. it applies really easily and gives you that nice sticky feeling (but not too sticky). definitely worth the investment if you are looking for a good dewy/illuminating primer!

CLINQUE
Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator
this moisturiser was my savior on the cruise! after spending 10 days straight in the sun, this was exactly what i needed at the end of everyday. it is SO hydrating and it feels so luxurious on the skin. i am so glad i picked up this one before i left because it really was a life saver, if you are a 'heavy' moisturiser that really feels like you are locking in the moisture then i would go for this one. its definitely not a day time mosituriser as such, i only ever use it at night because it leaves a 'film' layer on your skin if you know what i mean (basically its visible). at home i now use this one after a long day in the sun or after i have done a heavy cleanse and exfoliated to really lock the moisture back into my skin.

TARTE
Rainforest of the Sea Hydrating Colour Splash Lipstick
i love everything Tarte releases so there is no surprise that this lipstick made it into my favourites. i brought this in Sephora just before we got onto the cruise and it definitely can in handy. i ended up only packing matte lipsticks and glosses so this creamy hydrating lip definitely came in handy. the formula of this is great, it manages to stay pigmented and long lasted but has a hydrating feel and a creamy finish. i am definitely going to invest in a few more shades. also the packing on this is divine, like its marble??? amazing! love the whole Rainforest of the Seas range so if you do to then you already know you need this.

Merry Christmas
