Stephanie.

with summer (and my holiday) fast approaching, i have been buying swimwear like there is no tomorrow. so i have put together my swimwear picks for this spring/summer season, all of which are extremely affordable and available worldwide (always a bonus).

5 of the 6 swimwear featured have been in a few of my previous blog posts but i hopefully will be able to give more of an insight into the fit and my thoughts on them.

ZAFUL Low Waisted Spaghetti Strap Bikini in Red

http://www.zaful.com/low-waisted-spaghetti-strap-bikini-set-p_251276.html

I got this in a size medium and it fits perfectly!! i do highly recommend reading peoples reviews on the individual bikinis as every bikini on Zaful seems to vary in size. i am so happy with how this one looks/fits, its a little cheeky but i think that's what you expect with this style. the bottoms are a little wide on the back and can sit a little funny but i found if you wear them a little more high waisted that solves that problem. also considering they were so cheap (like $12 or less) they don't seem like they are terrible quality if anything they feel a little thicker then your average bikini which i like.

details: high cut bottoms, thin back strap, adjustable straps, padded top

ZAFUL Solid Color Spaghetti Straps Low Waisted Bikini in Grey

http://www.zaful.com/solid-color-spaghetti-straps-low-waisted-bikini-set-p_190010.html

this set is very similar to the red one however it has a little more detail to it on the bikini top. i also got this one in a size medium and again i am super happy with the fit. one thing i did notice with Zaful is the bikini tops are true to size (so a medium) but i would say the bottoms run more like a small which works for me because i am usually a small on the bottoms and medium on top. so take that into consideration when you are ordering (its not a huge difference tho).
the colour of this one is really nice and again has the exact same bottoms as the red so i just wore them a little higher.

details: high cut bottoms, clip back, adjustable straps, minimal detail on the top, padded top

ZAFUL Padded Knotted Thong Bikini in Burgundy

http://www.zaful.com/padded-knotted-thong-bikini-p_302320.html

i choose this one because it looked super cute online and i love the ruched bottoms. i actually thought i ordered this one in a mustard yellow but apparently not haha. i do love the burgundy though, it will look really flattering with a tan. i again got this one in a medium and it also fits nicely. the bottoms are very revealing so if you don't love the idea of an almost thong cut then i would avoid this style. the top is tie up so you can adjust it to make it tightness/looser so that is a bonus but it is the tiniest bit on the big side for me but it works.

details: tie up top, no tie up/adjustable back, ruched bottoms, thong cut

Wolf & Whistle Snow Leopard Bikini

http://www.asos.com/au/wolf-whistle-snow-leopard-print-bikini/grp/15587
http://www.asos.com/au/wolf-whistle/wolf-whistle-snow-leopard-high-waist-bikini-bottom/prd/7975914
http://www.asos.com/au/wolf-whistle/wolf-whistle-snow-leopard-print-bikini-top-dd-g-cup/prd/7975918

this set was actually the first bikini i purchased and it is still probably one of my favourites. i first saw Zoella wearing this in one of her summer vlogs and i needed it. it was sold out for ages and i finally managed to pick it up, i got the top in a 10DD and the bottoms in a AU size 8. i love this set!!! it is sooo flattering and the i love the high waisted bottoms especially considering i am not the most body confident girl in the world. the top also is really flattering and has a little bit of push up padding attached which is an added bonus.

details: cut out sides on top and bottom, padded push up top, high waisted bottoms, adjustable straps, clasp back

Wolf & Whistle Bikini Top & High Waisted Bottoms

http://www.asos.com/wolf-whistle/wolf-whistle-cupped-bikini-top-b-g-cup/prd/7043179?clr=black&SearchQuery=wolf+and+whistle&pgesize=36&pge=2&totalstyles=116&gridsize=3&gridrow=10&gridcolumn=3
http://www.asos.com/au/asos/asos-mix-and-match-high-waist-bikini-bottom-with-eyelets/prd/7118525?clr=black&SearchQuery=high+waisted+bikini+bottoms&pgesize=18&pge=0&totalstyles=18&gridsize=3&gridrow=4&gridcolumn=2 (link for bottoms very similar)

i really quite like Wolf & Whistles swimwear, so i picked up the same style of top as the snow leopard one and some matching high waisted black bottoms. i figured considering these are almost the same i can mix and match and create ultimately 2 more bikini combos.
i also picked up these in a 10DD and a AU size 8 bottom which fit/look the same as the snow leopard pair.
i highly recommend this style of bikini if you want something a little less revealing without wearing a one piece. the high waisted bottoms are really nice as for me i don't have to feel self conscious of my stomach.

details: mesh sides on top, high waisted bottoms, padded push up top, clasp back, adjustable straps

Cotton on Body Charley Thick Strap One Piece Cheeky

http://cottonon.com/AU/charley-thick-strap-one-piece-cheeky/665439-02.html?dwvar_665439-02_color=665439-02&cgid=womens-new-arrivals#prefn1=brand&prefv1=Body&start=21

this colour of this piece is divine!!! and it was so cheap $29.95 AUD. Cotton On Body have released a really nice swimwear collection this wear and if i hadn't already bought 5 pairs of bathers i would of probably purchased their whole collection.
i don't think you can go wrong with a nice one piece, i picked this one up in a Small and it fits nicely. this one piece features a low scoop back and comes with removable padding (love the fact they give you the option of removing it). i also like the fact that it isn't low cut around the side boob area, still flattering but you don't to worry about falling out if you know what i mean.

details: scoop back, removable padding, cheeky cut

i hope this post gives you a little summer swimwear inspo (or if you are approaching the winter months then i am sorry but enjoy the cosy clothes and hot chocolate haha)

swimwear featured from Zaful, Cotton On Body and ASOS (in collaboration with wolf and whistle) all photos are my own.

SO!
we have almost made it, just over a month to go and i am literally counting down the days!!
with being this close, i thought another cruise post was in order with my latest preparations, purchases and tips.
i plan on posting a few packing posts (including what makeup i am taking, my on-board essentials etc) after this one as we get a little closer then it should be sailing/cruise adventure posts from there *yay*

in regards to preparing for the cruise itself, we are now fully checked in with our luggage tags and guest booklets printed off. Royal Caribbean send these to you via email about 50 days out and as we had already checked in at the 90 day mark, we don't need to complete any of the information in the guest booklet.

the guest booklet also provides you with your decks required check in/boarding time so keep an eye out for that. ours is a lot later then we anticipated so we are hoping to be able to board earlier by some miracle.

i have also been keeping an eye on internet packages and the prices but unfortunately i missed out on the sale (not realising that it was a sale) so now i am waiting/hoping they drop again before we go. at the moment internet is $18.13 AUD per day which i don't really want to pay for a 11 day cruise.

if you follow all of my blog posts then you would have seen my 'wishlist' post, well i can confirm i managed to pick up some of the items featured on that post (obviously both were the most realistically priced haha)

the first being the Crow Valley Denim Pinafore from Princess Polly
i am very happy i made this purchase because it is so cute on and so versatile. i plan on wearing this over bathers, over t-shirts, over crop tops and pretty much anything i have already brought that works.
the skirt is very flattering on me compared to if i were to get shorts or full length dungarees as i am pretty short myself so this enables me to wear sandals and off duty sneakers with it without looking stumpy. MEGA WIN

the other item i managed to pick up from my wishlist were the Quay Australia QUAYxDESI High Key sunglasses in Gun Metal and Rose Gold.
these are such a steal!! i love them, i am such a rose gold girl so as you could tell from my wishlist blog post i was sold on these as soon as i saw photos on them.
they are a little big for my face but i think that it also works and if styled correctly you can play off the oversized look. definitely going to be my go to sunnies on this cruise!

that was all i managed to pick up from my wishlist so far (however the ipad is in the horizons before the cruise)

now onto my other purchases... the good thing is i think im pretty much done with shopping for the cruise *que sigh of relief*

Billini Majorca Sandals in Nude Pebble
not going to lie i tossed up between these and the rose gold version for a while until i figured these are a little more subtle and may go with a little more. i managed to pick these up when Peppermayo had a sale so that was a win. cant wait to wear these with almost everything haha

Peppermayo Finnigan Crop in Mauve
i also picked this one up in the sale so it literally cost me nothing with the shoes. this style of top is really in at the moment but i can't say i own/have tried a lot of this style as my boyfriend pointed out when i showed him it.
i love this colour though, it is divine and if i can manage to love it with a strapless bra (the most unflattering thing ever) then it has the potential of looking super cute in multiple outfits. i actually picked this colour especially because how good is it going to look underneath the shade of denim on the pinafore!!! (with my new sandals of cruise).
^if it all goes to plan, this may just be my sail away party outfit^

Nunui Marabella Short in Navy from Surf Dive & Ski
Surf dive & ski had this really great 2 for $50 offer going on in-store when i picked up these (highly recommend snapping up these deals). there is nothing i don't love about a pair of high waisted shorts and these are super flattering even if the picture doesn't do them any justice. these shorts are 100% cotton with a linen look, so they are super comfy and light which makes them perfect for holiday. they also come in a range of colours including blush (which i have my eye on of course)

Spare Springtime Bodysuit in White From Surf Dive & Ski (not online but different colour linked & pictured)
unfortunately the white bodysuit isn't anywhere online, so i have pictured the striped one. but basically this bodysuit was also included in the 2 for $50. you could pick from a bodysuit, crop top or normal singlet, i picked a bodysuit as i find them the most flattering for me out of the options and it was the nicest looking one there. thinking about it now i actually probably could have gotten the blush shorts in the 2 for $50 deal but oh well everyone needs a plain white body suit.
this body suit is also super comfy and light so again perfect for summer and holiday.

Thrills East Coast Crop Muscle Tee
i picked up this muscle tee also from Surf Dive and Ski on sale (win). this is super casual easy to throw on top that i plan to wear before/after swimming or on shore excursions etc. it looks super cute with the navy Nunui shorts and will also go with a high waisted denim skirt or shorts depending on the look i'm going for.

Quicksilver Reef Walker Aqua Shoes
these are definitely not my most fashionable item purchased for the cruise but we need them for when we go snorkeling etc on the islands. i picked these up from the local Boating, Camping & Fishing (BCF) store and i actually got them in a kids size 4 because my feet are small enough so they worked out cheaper then the adult pair (mega bonus because i'm never going to wear them again lets face it)

Tarte Limited Edition Skin Win Hydrating Skincare Set
set includes:
- drink of h2o hydrating boost moisturiser
- maracuja oil
- rainforest of the sea 4 in 1 setting mist
- quench lip rescue in shell (sheer mauve)
i picked this set up when Tarte had free shipping on their site and this set was exactly what i was after. i get quite dehydrated skin so i needed travel sized options to bring my skin back to life without having to pack multiple full sized products. i have heard only good things about the h2o moisturiser and maracuja oil so i am excited to try these and share my reviews. plus they are so cute and mini so i couldn't say no haha. this set was $28 AUD which i don't think is too bad.

Tarte Brighter Days Travel Size Moisturizer
i picked this up in the same order as the set, and again this was perfect as it is travel sized. i have also heard nothing but good things about this moisturiser so i am looking forward to trying it (i would have tried it already but i don't want to open it then run out on holiday haha)
i choose this product due to the recommendations from the girls who vlogged their trip with tarte when they went to Hayman Island here in Australia and used all the products in this range so going by what they said, it should be the perfect holiday moisturiser.

😇
i have also started picking up the basics like sunscreen, tanning oil, body wash etc on my weekly groceries shop, if you get one a week you wont notice it too much on your bank account. i think buying everything new when it comes to toiletries is a good idea as it has less chance of exploding in your luggage.

CRUISE TIPS:
- buy disposable shower caps (i picked mine up from my local $2 store) and put your shoes in them in your luggage. this prevents all your clothes from potentially getting dirty.
- buy some anti-bacterial wipes and give your room a once over when you arrive, obviously they are cleaned by the staff but its always a good idea to be extra sure give the room a once over.
- hand santiser is also good idea to have handy during the cruise, use it before eating, using public restrooms/places or even when onshore to ensure you don't end up setting sick.
- get a bulldog clip or similar and use it to secure your towel to a chair in the morning that way its yours all day and you don't have to worry about your towel flying away.

that's all for this post i think, hopefully if i can get my butt into gear i will have a few more cruise related posts up in the next few weeks before we leave but until then don't forget to check out my last two in this 'series'
xx

so i finally decided to bite the bullet and place a colourpop order! the main reason i hadn't done one before is because its pretty pricey (everything is in USD) for them to ship to Australia but they had a few good promotions on when i placed my order which meant i basically saved enough that shipping didn't matter.

it's not a huge haul but i think its a good start to my colourpop collection and pending my experience/reviews, i will definitely place another order.

i think colourpop is really good because of how affordable it is. even considering this, so far i haven't noticed the difference between a high end version and their versions. which i think is really great if you are on a budget or don't love spending hundreds of dollars on makeup.

i picked up the Heavy Hitter Pressed Palette firstly because i loved the colours and then the description won me over "This nude quad packs a punch with its warm, sandy tones." it describes summer and i thought this would be perfect for my holiday. Not only is it compact but i can already think of multiple looks i can create with this palette.

the colour pay off seems really good from swatching it, although the lightest shade "full-zip" matched my skin colour almost perfectly so you couldn't see it in the swatch (i obviously need a tan haha) but overall i am pleased with the palette and how it swatched, i am looking forward to trying it out and taking it on holiday.

my next purchase was the Amaze Super Shock Shadow. i figured this would complement the eye shadow palette really well and i could use it for adding a little more 'sparkle' to my night time looks on holiday.

i am so glad i picked this one up, the shade is amazing and it is so pigmented!!!! i knew it was going to be good but i didn't think it would be have such good pigment/colour payoff and no fall out but it does. thankgod for cream shadow and i good one at that.

i picked up two lip pencils and without realising they are almost the same shade hahaha oh well a girl can never have enough nude lip pencils. i picked up the shades Curvii which is apart of the iluvsarahii  collection and is described as a warm beige as well as the shade Skimpy which is described as a soft pinky nude.
although they have completely different descriptions they do swatch very similar so i am intrigued to see how they pay off on the lip and whether they are noticeably different.

but i have only heard good things about their lip pencils and you honestly cant go past a good lip pencil that is also cheap!!

my next two products were actually freebies apart of a promotion they had going which was spend X amount get one free, spend X amount get 2 free and so on. so i spent enough and got two free lip products. i think they had 3 lip options and then 2 shadow options but i opted for the matte lip and gloss option as i thought they were the colours i would wear the most.

if you do see colourpop doing a promotion like this i would definitely buy at this time because not only are you spending what you would of anyway to get what you needed but also getting limited edition products for free to try out as well.

the matte lip was the limited edition ultra matte in the shade Take Five. this is described as a "mauve-toned rose" and it is gorgeous!! it also swatches so nice and so far i like the formula.
i haven't tried a colourpop lipstick at all before but everyone i have known to wear them raves about them so i am excited to put this one to the test.

again this is something else i strategically picked for my holiday, i think the pinky tones to it will look really nice in the 'summer time'.

also even though i didn't have to pay for this one, their matte lipsticks or any of their lip products are super affordable even after you do the exchange to Australian dollars

the gloss i picked up was the Nine to Five Ultra Gloss which is described as a "mauve with a golden shift." to be honest i probably won't wear this shade, its way more metallic then i pictured it to be so lucky it was a freebie.

overall i am very happy with my colourpop haul and the products i got, i definitely see myself placing  another order in the future. perhaps to try out the new concealers 💭

xx

Take Five Ultra Matte Lipstick (limited edition but would retail for $6.00 USD)
Curvii Lip Pencil $5.00 USD
Amaze Super Shock Shadow $5.00
Skimpy Lip Pencil $5.00 USD
Nine to Five Ultra Gloss (limited edition but would retail for $6.00 USD)
Heavy Hitter Pressed Power Palette $12.00 USD

Hi everyone!

For me down here in Australia its finally spring!! don't get me wrong i love getting all cosy in winter and i love winter fashion but i am definitely looking forward to spring/summer this year.
I particularly can't wait for my holiday (of course), the sun and the nights of daylight savings and epic sunsets.

So as the change of season comes (i say this as it is still 11 degrees and pouring rain outside) so does the change of my wishlist which i thought i would share with you today. Some of these items are a little unrealistic and adventurous but hey it would be could a wishlist if they weren't and some others are super affordable.

Adidas Court Vantage $120 AUD

the first thing on my wishlist are the Adidas Court Vantage Embroidered in White/Off White. i am OBSESSED with these. i have wanted them for ages and guess what they are sold out in my size wahhh. Stylerunner are the only place in Australia to sell them and i am heart broken haha.
They are soooo cute and just imagine pairing them with denim shorts or a denim skirt or even a casual dress!!! (if you know anywhere else that sells these that ship to aus please HMU)

Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland $16 AUD

this is probably a weird item to have on my wishlist but i really want to read this book. it was one of my new years resolutions to read more and we are now in September and i've haven't really picked up a book all year.

i have heard so many good reviews on this book and i have always been a fan of Louise's blog and youtube channel. so I'm really hoping i enjoy her first book!

the plan is to finish (or at least make a dent) on the book i started reading last night before i get this one. so hopefully it can be my holiday read!! (if not perhaps my christmas holiday read haha)

Ipad Air $469 AUD

another slightly bizarre item on item my wishlist is an iPad *que monkey covering its eyes emoji*.

basically i just really want a new iPad, i have an old mini but i just want a new bigger one haha.
i want to use this for mostly blogging; i think it will be soooo much easier to carry my iPad around and blog on that compared to taking my MacBook everywhere. also i want to take it on holiday with me and again so much more practical then carrying your laptop.

oh and also you know when you are online shopping on your phone and you just think to yourself this would 10x easier on something bigger but cant be bothered getting your laptop? exactly. my other reason for this wishlist item! (OH and pinterest!!!!!)

#ipadgoals
Dungarees/Pinafore- Crow Valley Denim Pinafore, Princess Polly $65 AUD

dungarees are so in this year, whether they are in pant, dress or short form they are extremely popular and i need a pair! I have been on the hunt for the right 'one' for a while now, trust me i spent my fair share of time trolling the web but never found any i was really set on.
Until now, i loveeeeee this dungaree dress (pinafore) from Princess Polly, it is so cute and the exact style i wanted. i dont want anything too 'kiddy' or OTT and i think this has the right amount of everything.

i decided to go for the dress version because 1- i am wayyyyy to short and stumpy for the shorts (so not flattering) and 2- i cant find a pant version that is made for us short petite girls who would prefer a tighter pant.

so i think this is perfect and if my bank account allows me ill hopefully be the proud owner of it before my holiday. if so, i plan to pair it with a cropped t-shirt underneath or even my bathers and either sandals or a casual sneaker.

Quay Australia X Desi 'High Key' in Gun/Rose $65 AUD

most definitely one of my favs on the wishlist.
these new release (i think limited edition) QUAY x DESI sunnies are life!!! give me anything rose gold and ill be happy so when i saw she was releasing this colour way i knew i needed them and especially for spring/summer!!

these launched on the 6th of Sept and sold out practically straightaway.

ASOS Champion Crewneck Sweatshirt With Varsity Patches $196 AUD

crying at how expensive this jumper is !!!!! *patiently waits for it to go on sale*

why do i need a jumper in spring/summer in Australia you ask? because sometimes you just do. what if it is an abnormally cold spring and we don't stop wearing winter clothes until november???
as you can tell i dont reallllly need it but man isn't it nice.

this could look super cute under my dungarees for example or even just paired with a pair of denim shorts for when its just that little bit chilly. i imagine this to be a fairly light sweatshirt so it would be a good 'throw on'. but i just cant justify the almost $200 price tag and that is why its still on my wishlist.

***hint hint- christmas present idea***

Too Faced Just Peachy Eyeshadow Palette (not released in Aus yet but should retail for around $60AUD)

this all MATTE eyeshadow palette is of course on my wishlist!!!

i love too faced shadows and when i saw they were releasing this to their Peach collection i fell in love. all the shades are so nice and so versatile and generally all colours i would wear and the BEST PART is all 12 shades are matte!!!

i have one of Too Faced's original matte palettes and honestly the colour pay off and pigmentation of the shades are amazing, you can't really go wrong with their palettes. so fingers crossed i can pick this one up when I'm in Sydney later this year! EXCITING.

Billabong Modimal Beach Bag $39.99 AUD

okay so honestly there is this one and about 3 other styles of this beach bag i love but i thought this one was a little more quirky then the rest.

i figured i would need a beach bag of some sort for our holiday later this year plus for summer days at the beach/by the pool.

all of billabongs beach bags are big and have pockets/zips on the inside for your valuables (there is nothing worse then sand in your phone just saying). they are also foldable and easy to store so my logic is, i should be able to get it into my suitcase without it taking up too much room.

Tony Bianco Dani Heels in Caramel Phoenix $219.95 AUD

the perfect spring/summer heel!

how gorgeous are these, they would be honestly perfect for any occasion during our Australian spring/summer season and they are soo on trend; lace up clothes and shoes are everywhere at the moment so these would definitely be a good investment.

these are so versatile and could be worn with dresses, shorts, jeans and anything in-between.
they also come in black if this colour isn't your style.
normally i would lean more towards the black but i just think these are the ultimate nude shade for summer!!

i would looooove to take these on holiday with me but I'm not sure my bank account will let me before we leave (anyone have a spare $200?)

🙋

so thats all on my wishlist for SS17/18 so far, i hope you enjoyed this blogpost and the little insight into what i want in my life right now (even though i am most definitely suppose to be saving but hey i can dream)
what is on your spring/summer wishlist?

Hi everyone

instead of doing a full favourites post i thought i would do quick post sharing with you 3 of my favourite things from the month of August.

1.
this month i discovered The Body Shops "Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother" and how have i not tried this before. for some reason i have just always looked past The Body Shops skincare range but they actually have some really good stuff and its not too pricey either.

i use this primarily over my moisturiser but you can use it just by itself. it leaves your skin feeling super smooth (well obviously given its name) and doesn't make you feel any oilier. i have also been using this as part of my pre-foundation routine- clinque moisturiser, vitamin c skin boost smoother then my smoothing primer. you may think its a little overkill but honestly the finish of my foundation is 100 times better (i usually have fairly dry skin so sometimes my foundation goes a little patchy) and it lasts all day.

would definitely recommend this product!

  2.
another favourite of mine this month has been my shampoo and conditioner. i have been using the OGX Ever Straightening + Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner.  this shampoo and conditioner has literally changed my life haha. my hair has never felt better!!!

i have used OGX shampoo and conditioners before but never found one that really made a difference to my hair. I decided to try this one with Keratin in it after watching a video by Lauren Curtis who said that changing her shampoo and conditioner to one that had Keratin in it literally saved her hair. i totally agree!! my hair has never felt smoother or healthy and i also feel like its growing faster too YAY.

100% recommend using this or any shampoo that has Kertain in it.

3.
my final favourite for August was the Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow to Go Palette. i actually brought this highlight and contour palette back in March but i thought it was a little underwhelming, until i rediscovered it this month and OMG.

both highlights from this palette are insane, both are very pigmented and i like to combine the two. i think the 'sand' highlight suits my skin tone more then the 'pearl' but both are equally as amazing. i have had sooo many complements on my highlight when i've been using these so they definitely do their job. in saying this though sometimes i do have to tone them down with a little bit of powder if i don't want to be extremely glowing haha (if you have used these you will know what i mean)

i haven't really dabbled in the contour shade too much, but i do like it. i generally stick to my hoola bronzer for contour but the contour shade from this palette and hoola are very similar. so i think ill start to use it more!

the other reason i love this palette is because it is so compact and light. i have decided that im just going to take this palette on holiday with me for all my highlight and contour needs as it literally takes up no room!

my only criticism is that there is a little bit of fall out from all three shades which is a little annoying but its fixable.

i hope you have enjoy this little favourites post!
i would love to know what your favourites were in August?

*sorry that the photos are a little dull, i had to take them at night time*
